Winston's faculty members will present an overview of learning disabilities and specific strategies and tools that help students with learning disabilities become more successful in school.

“Life after Winston”

Moderated by Michelle Spoonemore. A panel of Winston alumni will speak about their life experiences and the transition from Winston to college and/or their careers. 

This in-person event will take place on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

You are invited to attend Life After Winston. This is an engaging conversation-style event where Winston alumni share their experiences in diverse paths after graduation. Our distinguished panel for this year is comprised of first-year college students, those further along in their journey, and alumni who are excelling several years into their chosen careers.

This event does not qualify for Continuing Professional Development Education.

This in-person event will take place on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Presented by Heidi Johnson, M. Ed., Winston's school counselor.

"Experience Dyslexia®”  
A Learning Disabilities Simulation

This event took place on Saturday, September 28, 2024.

This intense, interactive workshop gave attendees a first-hand understanding of the difficulties and frustrations students with reading and language disabilities encounter.

To most, this is a powerful experience that solicits compassion, respect, and tearful emotion for anyone who faces such challenges 24 hours a day.
